It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything here. I admit, I’m terrible at balancing my time between writing and doing all of the other things an author needs to do! Such as…keeping the website current, marketing, and effectively utilizing social media. One thing I am good at is reading! Seriously, I believe reading does help my writing.
So, here’s my excuse for not doing all of the business-related tasks associated with writing: I’ve been working on another book – The Archer’s Mark. I’m doing my best to write every day, which is great because I enjoy spending time with these characters. This story centers around a young anthropologist who is navigating the Coronavirus pandemic while also dealing with her husband’s sudden death, a recent move from London to a small town in the Texas Hill Country, and her natural inclination towards introversion. To make matters worse, she becomes the target of hateful attacks on social media, which escalates to the point of putting her in harm’s way.
As with all of my books, this story celebrates the power of the connections we humans make with each other, as well as with our four-legged friends. And of course, I can’t help myself – a Springsteen reference is included, just for fun!
I’m not sure when The Archer’s Mark will be published, but I’ll keep you posted!
